we were unable to find this adaptor in the local stores.
Glad to be able to use my different game systems;
I own several and update occasionally but cant afford to replace all when the manufacturer decides not to make the newest backwards compatable.
thanks

This product quite simply did not work at all with the 80 gig PS3. I bought this to play GH and RB from PS2. It is misleading that it called PS2 to PS3 adapter because it’s simply not the case. Not even the PS2 controllers would work with the adapter. Maybe it’s me but why else would this product be made. Hopefully I can find an adapter that works.

I’m not sure about how this device functions for Guitar Hero and Rock Band, as I bought it specifically for 2 Red Octane DDR pads since the Pelican Adapter is no longer being sold. I tried all three settings, and while it does work for DDR on the GP (regular gameplay) mode, it has an obvious and noticeable lag. I even used this adapter to hook to my PC for Stepmania, and it also had an obvious lag, which rendered it useless for me. So far I’ve found no working adapter for DDR pads on the PS3 except for the Pelican brand adapter, which can’t be found anywhere, not even on Ebay. I think I’m just going to buy a PS2 in addition to my PS3, since that seems to be the only real fix to my problem.

I was very dissapointed in the product. It is simply not working. When i hook the thing(turning the switch to guitar hero), it looks like it is working(the red and the green lights are on) but I cant be sure since I dont have guitar hero on PS3. However, when I turn the switch to RB or the normal game pad and hook it, only the red light appears but the green light(for the controller set 1,2,3…etc) doean’t appear and the controller simply doesn’t work.
the frustrating thing is that I waited for this for a long time. Maybe it is a fault one or maybe there is something I am missing in the setup(which I doubt because no one as far as I know complained about false product instructions or something like this). But what I am sure of now is that I totaly regret buying this item.(Benifits=0%)

I was under the mistaken impression that I would be able to use this adapter to play my GH, GH2, and GH80’s by using my PS2 GH guitar controller on my PS3…errrr…WRONG! Try as I might, it doesn’t work that way.
Now, if you want to use your old PS2 guitar controller on your PS3 to play GH3…ding! YOU WIN! Works great for that! Can’t complain there, except that I have some very nice and lovely wireless guitar controllers that work just fine! So, if only I’d have read the fine print, I suppose, that’s the moral to the story.
