The United Nations Space Command (UNSC) is the military, exploratory, and scientific agency of the United Earth Government. The UNSC was formed in the 2160’s, during a period where remnants of old cultural ideologies clashed for supremacy in the Sol System. The UNSC served mainly as an overseer of United Nations military operations in space. The 26th century has come and it’s time to demonstrate human power to the bad guys as Halos begins. It’s real time strategy as… More >>

If you’re a fan of the Halo series, I can promise you Halo Wars isn’t for you…
If you were a fan of playing with plastic army men, and shoving them across the living room carpet like a 6 year old, good news; Halo Wars is just what you’re looking for…
After taking a half day off from work on release day, I can tell you I’ve had better times at work…
The new game couldn’t be any further from the last (Halo 3)… The first indication you get of just how dull Halo Wars is going to be comes when you crack open the case… The configuration for the controller doesn’t include a fire button… Yes, there is no fire button…. Instead you spend your time barking commands at troops..
Second, the game lacks any of the first person shooter experience that made the Halo series such a success with hardcore gamers…
I understand Halo Wars was set up to be an RTS game, but even on that account it fails…
I can’t say enough bad about the game…
Microsoft got my money, don’t give them yours…

I will start off by saying, If I could give Halo Wars no stars I would, but I am forced to add at least one star.
If you are a fan of Halo (1,2,&3) then don’t buy this game. If Bungie were going to use the name “Halo”, they should have at least made something familiar about it. You do not even get to do any true fighting. All you do is tell a bunch of little “army” like soldiers to move here or there.
I am ready to auction it off on another site as a “Used” copy, any take my loses.

I bought this game for my sons birthday. I suppose I should have done more research, but I saw the Halo name and thought the game would be in keeping with its predecessors. The game is not a first person shooter. It is a strategic game where you move entire armies. We traded it in at Gamestop for half the price I paid for it and bought Halo 3. I have learned an expensive lesson. Do my research before I buy!

Halo Wars is simply aweful. The previous Halo games were first-person shooters and my favorite video games of all time. This game is not. In fact, the only thing Halo Wars has in common with the previous Halo games is the name.
Halo Wars is a bad version of Sim City. Halo has been ruined.

This game sucks. That simple. If I wanted to move troops arond and have probability battles, I’d buy RISK, and not spend over 50 bucks to do so.
